Eggplant is number two, after coriander, on the list of vegetables that are either loved or hated. There is a Turkish eggplant dish called "Imam Abayeldi", which means "the imam fainted" -- because it was so delicious.
Some of you have asked, in the beginning of our correspondence, what to do with vegetables that we don't really know how to use, like eggplant. Some like it grilled, roasted, steamed - Yes steamed!, also fried, pickled, chopped, sliced, cut and stuffed.

1. It seems we have found a delivery person!! Thanks for your patience and help.
2. Hanna's son Adam, from Jerusalem, is teaching a course of photography through observation. He states:
"in the course we will go on a joint journey to discover the nature around us and the story it tells. We will use tools and exercises taken from photography, theater, permaculture and more. The camera will be a central instrument, but not the only one.
Wow! I see that I have never written to you about eggplant. I will remedy this right away.
The days are getting shorter, in the morning there is a lot of dew on the crops - you must have noticed especially on the greens that come in plastic bags - and, even though we might experience more heat waves like last month, I can gently say that we are starting to feel the fall. As it says in the song "when Elul arrives, the smell of autumn arises ...". So, before the summer is over, and with it the abundant supply, please welcome the eggplants in your boxes.להמשך קריאה >>
