The tradition of the "three sisters" was common to all of the native Americans in all of north and mid-America. Each tribe had its own stories regarding the sacred trio. The original Americans believed that corn, beans and squash were a gift from the "great spirit". These are the three sisters and they are inseparable: sown together, eaten together and celebrated together.
In agriculture, the corn roots are deep and it is a strong plant that grows high and can be climbed upon by the beans.

Last week the corn surprised me and was added to the boxes - what fun. Although I always try to give you an expectation list and to be as close to it as possible, this time I was not disappointed at all when I had to add a note in the boxes about the change. Fresh and tasty corn is always welcome. With corn, there is no choice; it must be picked at the right time. It's sweetness is seeked and enjoyed not only by us, but by a variety of other creatures!
There's nothing like eating each thing at the right time.להמשך קריאה >>
