Organic citrus fruit โ take it to heart ๐

Citrus fruits come to us exactly at the right time. Now that we are trying to adapt to the weather and it is so volatile, these fruits strengthen our immune system, disinfect and clean both us and our houses, aid in iron absorption, reduce cholesterol…. and the most fun is that you can eat or drink them just the way they are. You can combine them in salads, soups, cooked dishes… and their rind is the most perfect package that can easily be used as a cleaning fluid.
Pickled lemon was spread by a conqueror… (This wordplay sounds better in Hebrew)

The origin of citrus is the hotter areas of Southeast Asia, primarily China. The name "Clementine" is a combination of Mandarin (the name of the original fruit named after China from which it arrived) and biologist Clement Rudia (Clement + mandarin = Clementine) and refers to the cross bred fruit that Rudia developed, that we all love.
The Arab conquest spread the citrus fruit to Persia and the Mediterranean, and today it is common in subtropical climates around the world and in the Mediterranean Basin.
The etrog ย is the first citrus fruit that came to Israel from Persia. The source of the Hebrew name probably comes from the Persian โ tereng and for us it is linked to the commandments of the Four Species "ืึผืึฐืงึทืึฐืชึถึผื ืึธืึถื ืึทึผืึผืึนื ืึธืจึดืืฉืืึนื, ืคึฐึผืจึดื ืขึตืฅ ืึธืึธืจ ืึทึผืคึนึผืช ืชึฐึผืึธืจึดืื, ืึทืขึฒื ึทืฃ ืขึตืฅ-ืขึธืึนืช, ืึฐืขึทืจึฐืึตื-ื ึธืึทื " (ืืืงืจื, ื"ื, ื').
The Crusaders, the following occupiers, took the citrus with them back to Europe and spread it from there.

Citrus reached America with Christopher Columbus himself in 1493. In that year he made his second journey from Europe to the New World. He made a stop in the Canary Islands and from there brought to America seedlings and seeds of orange and lemon to plant in the New World. On the Island of Hispaniola they grew well and yielded fruit. From there they spread fairly quickly to Central and South America along with the Spanish conquest and occupation.
It took them a few hundred years more to reach California, which is now one of the major growth centers in the world, together with Sicily.

Citrus is one of our country's major exports, mainly oranges and grapefruit. The history of early Israel is inextricably linked to Jaffa oranges.
The variety of Organic citrus fruit is very wide, but they all possess similar features.
They are all rich in vitamins E, C, A, nutritional fiber and potassium.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that protects from the destruction of body cells. It is important for the connective tissue and helps with healing wounds. It also strengthens the immune system and helps our body absorb iron. This is why you should eat citrus fruits with iron rich foods – to help you absorb it.
It was found that a grapefruit a day lowers cholesterol.
Eating and drinking citrus fruits helps the body produce collagen in the skin. There is no external way to ingest collagen โ you must produce it yourself.
