Please check to see if your info is already in this system.
enter your account on the site, click on the tab "personal information". At the bottom of the page you will find a button for this.
Also, from now on you will receive invoices via "green invoice" . One invoice will contain all your shopping, and not two split invoices as it was before. It still us..simply upgraded 🙂
While online, please review your "orders and payments report", where your account history is displayed. Please make sure that there is a zero (0) at the bottom. If there is not a zero, probably we could not charge Your card and would be very pleased if you would contact us to settle this. We rely on your help!!
New Zealand Spinach by Maya Ben-Zvy, friend and neighbor, eats from the garden and works with Natural Medicine, healthy culinary and Tuina massage, wrote to us after a successful dinner together:)
The New Zealand spinach, botanical name tetragon (actually Tetragonia tetragonioides), which is at its peak right now is the ugly duckling of spinach. Unlike other so-called spinach leaves, it does not belong to the family Amaranthaceae (formerly known as chenopodiaceae), but to the Aizoaceae family, and grows well all year, not just during the winter.
Like other green leaves botanically unrelated to spinach, it is nutritionally inferior to it and contains less iron and calcium. On the other hand, is much richer in vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). As all other green leaves, it is rich in fiber and chlorophyll.
Like the true spinach, tetragon also contains oxalic acid, that without cooking prevents the absorption of iron and calcium. Therefore, except for patients who need to raise the volume of food with minimal calories, I do not recommend eating spinach (real or New Zealand) raw.
The good news is that the fibers do their job even after cooking, and pyridoxine from plant source is hardly damaged by heat (soon I'll write more about preserving the nutritional value of vegetables when cooking).
Since most of our food comes from Maggie’s garden, this season we eat a lot of teragon.
Last night we added it sweet potato and New Zealand spinach patties, which the children ate happily.
In our organic vegetable baskets I expect(draft only):
New Zealand spinach
Parsley
Fennel
A bunch of young beets
Leeks
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Celery root
Broccoli
Zucchini
In the larger organic vegetable baskets, also:
Kale
Rocket
cauliflower
Organic fruit baskets ;
Melon
Nectarine
Sweeties
In the larger organic fruit baskets, also:
Clementines
Sharante Melon
Have a good week, not too hot and a pleasant, efficient return to routine 🙂
Lavrioot!
Maggie and garden staff
