Good week!
Ahhh ….. I hope this week starts quietly, cleanly and full of regeneration, awakening and realization. Yes, it is all due to the rain.
Along with renewal and order, we are also asking for your help:
Notice re the delivery fee – despite rising costs of fuel and many vehicle expenses in recent years, our delivery fee has remained constant since the beginning !!! However, we must now raise it by a modest amount to cover the costs. Accordingly, as of January 2017, the delivery fee will rise by 8 ₪.
Share us – We love what we do and we want to expand it to more people. To some of you, we make a special delivery. We would like to have more clients in your area. We would love to deliver to your friends, neighbors, and community members. Do you like us? Come on! Help us. Please distribute us to people from your schools, kindergartens, facebook friends …etc. At the end of this mail there is something convenient for sharing us. Thanks!!

The planned weekly e-mail (the name is a quote from my son): "Who will eat all that grass?" (Also I encounter the same difficulties like you !!!), is delayed in light of the excitement and renewal the last two weeks and the beauty in sights and smell and touch and the endless possibilities the rain causes …
But first I will complete what I wanted to write to you last week, when there was such a mess as a result of our fires and I had not managed to convert and articulate from the scribbles on the page to the weekly newsletter:
"May the winds and fires stop … the rain come… rain. Rain … … Thank you all for your invitations and blessings. We were flooded with heartwarming offers. Thank you all!!
There is still some mess. The strong dry winds continue to whistle around us, occasionally waking new fires and everyone here jumps into action. A different mode of work – the printed pages of orders flying around, the greens drying up and withering in a moment. Our electrical appliances were damaged and the garden is dry and ashy. Gali will work from home. Deliveries are scheduled to you normally, but may be delayed… Yet, I admire the strength of the forces of nature and of the people- the staff was evacuated but we still accomplished all of our tasks. And you too, who are here with us through thick and thin! (through fire and water! in Hebrew).
In day to day life I feel like I am always "putting out fires" but in the last two weeks that combination of words got back its true meaning. Thank God, we are all safe! All the rest can be repaired /renewed… Thank you for caring and your concern. We love you! Now, we just need the rain to come! "
The fun thing about the garden is that it is always possible to start over… or at least that's how it should be. In "conventional" agriculture (the normal agriculture, non-organic) that's not so. The poisons that are used remain a long time until they are cleaned and cease to affect the earth, water, and crops. Isn’t it terrible that this is the normal agriculture, the conventional one. And, moreover, it feels like it is getting worse – there is a constant effort to reach a situation of no return; new developments promise a longer and harder time of rejuvenation and renewal (think of the revival after an atom bomb, for example).
so, after the holidays/the winds/the fires… and the rain :), in our organic garden, it will all renew.
Here is a song by Naomi Shemer called “a different renewal” "התחדשות אחרת"
The fire we had was difficult and consuming and was intensified by the weather conditions. The weather is becoming more extreme due to global warming, that is linked to our behavior and acts of the people who have chosen this way.
The fire also awakened and illuminated many good acts of caring, mutual responsibility, helping others without receiving anything in return … many things were corrected and then the rain came. It is said that rainfall is related to moral social behavior.
I’m wishing:
that a better world will come – socially, economically, agriculturally;
that the rain that blends heaven and earth, physical and material, will renew and reactivate the charred earth to growth and blossom; and that good ideas will become reality.
Yours, through fire and water, through difficulties and the realization of the new.
